Following in the tradition of 'Canton's Favorite
Recipes', 'League Legacy' and then 'Cherokee Entertains', The Service League of Cherokee
County is proud to present 'A Taste of Tradition', the League's fourth
cookbook.
Southern recipes are meant to be shared and
treasured with friends and family. There is nothing better than the sweet smells coming
from the kitchen along with friends and family gathered around a table. Serving and
sharing a homespun meal brings a family closer by helping them to connect and strengthen
ties. Our recipes range from the elegant to the easy, with something for every cook,
whatever the level of expertise. With the exception of a few classic favorites from
'Cherokee Entertains', all recipes are new and were submitted by League members and
friends and family from the community.
This beautifully-illustrated, internal spiral,
hardcover cookbook is sure to be a welcome addition to any kitchen. The cover,
pictured above, is by noted local artist, Brenda Tustian and elements of the cover grace
the book from the first to the last page. Whimsical sidebars give the reader quaint
kitchen quotes, tips and tricks for creating wonderful meals and personal notes from
Service League members on family traditions and notable events from their own
kitchens. A visually pleasing, easily read font adds to the book's appeal.
'A Taste of Tradition' may be purchased by printing
and mailing in the order form linked from this page, from our booth at Riverfest, or from
